Sort a whole event's photos before lunch.
Your photos stay on your own hard drive. QuackSort finds every person in thousands of event photos, files them into folders, and picks the best shots, all on your computer. Nothing is uploaded to cloud storage.
See the app
A clean desktop app with everything in the sidebar: enroll people, sort, and build albums. When you are done, send each person their photos.
Watch it sort
Press the button to sort a mixed pile of event photos into folders, one per enrolled person. Here the guests are three ducks.

Your photos stay on your hard drive
Cloud photo apps copy your library to company servers. A breach there can expose many people's photos at once, and the company keeps the data. QuackSort keeps the library on your own computer, so there is no upload and no account.
Where your photos live
What an attacker needs
What does go online, and only when you choose
- Guest enrollment (optional): a guest registers on the QuackSort website with your event code. Their name and selfie are stored online only until your app syncs them, and are removed from the cloud within a day after syncing. Your event photo library is never part of this.
- Sharing: QuackShare sends a peer-to-peer link from your computer, and Google Drive uploads to the recipient's own Drive. Either way, only the photos you pick.
- Face matching and sorting always run on your computer.
Local storage is not magic. Turn on disk encryption and keep a backup in case the computer is lost.

What happens to a guest's selfie
Guest enrollment is optional. Step through it to see where the selfie goes.
Quality-based albums
Each photo gets scored on face quality, sharpness, exposure, composition, and clutter. Raise the threshold to see which shots make the album.
Concept albums
Describe what you want in plain words. QuackSort understands what is in each photo, so you never have to tag anything by hand. This demo uses a small sample.
Questions people ask
Does it need the internet?
Sorting and album creation run on your computer, so they work offline after setup. You only need internet to sync guest enrollments and to share photos.
Where do my photos go?
They stay on your computer. They only leave it when you choose to share them, using QuackShare (a peer-to-peer link) or Google Drive.
What if a guest never registers?
Faces that are not enrolled stay unnamed. You can label them yourself afterward.
Can one photo show up for several people?
Yes. A group photo is copied into the folder of every enrolled person found in it.
Does it work on Mac?
